Jefferson County Connections (JCC)

The Mission of Jefferson County Connections (JCC) is to empower youth, young adults and families, and by doing so, make Jefferson County one of the healthiest and safest counties in Wisconsin.

JCC was developed through the restructuring of the Jefferson County Delinquency Prevention Council, following the idea that there was a need for a countywide council to focus on youth and families. For over 20 years, JCC has strived to achieve its mission. Even though the committee’s name has changed, they continue to move forward, spearheading projects and bringing them to a local level. With the growing heroin, alcohol and other drug abuse epidemic in Jefferson County, it is important for our youth to have a safe and chemical free place to develop friendships and leadership.

The JCC Committee is composed of high school students, young adults, school district staff, organizations, agencies and community members throughout Jefferson County (School professionals, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Jefferson County Human Services, UW Extension 4-H Youth Development, etc.) The council is chaired by Tammy Foerster, Social Worker at Watertown High School.

Jefferson County Connections meets on the first Friday of the month (October-June) at 8:00 AM at the Jefferson County UW Extension Building 874 Collins Road, Jefferson (October-May) and rotating through the participating High Schools. Youth and community members are invited to attend. Please contact Tammy Foerster at 920-262-7550, or foerstert@watertown.k12.wi.us.
