In this episode, we talked with Adam Howarth, Social Worker, Community and Veteran Advocate, and former Community Engagement Coordinator for the Suicide Prevention Program at the VA. In his previous role, he worked to support Zero Suicide Coalitions in Wisconsin including the one in Jefferson County. We talked about local efforts in schools, community trainings, and community-wide efforts such as the Gun Shop Project to help people secure firearms. We also talked about what every person can do to help someone in need.
